Parts of Men's Shirts

Everybody would have a fair idea about the parts of men' shirts. Collar, sleeves, necks, lower hem, shirt body, and, optionally, pockets constitute a shirt. Shirt designers cleverly and creatively maneuver the parts to create umpteen designs and fashions. As a result, one can find shirts with many kinds of collar styles and different kinds of sleeve fashions.

Basic structural changes are difficult to make on the shirt body. Style changes are brought about on the body through the use of different clothing material, different stitching styles, and creating embroidery and designs on the shirt body. However, other parts can be structurally changed in various ways to define individual styles.

What Is In The Sleeves

Men's shirts can be classified into three categories based on the style of sleeves: full sleeves, half sleeves, and sleeveless. These terms are self explanatory. In the olden days, full sleeves were considered formal wear and half sleeves and sleeveless were considered casual wear. Still, full sleeves retain their aura as a formal wear. However, half sleeves have invaded into the territory of formal clothes. Sleeveless shirts are rare and used only in casual occasions.

Also, the sleeve length varies among half sleeves. Short sleeve shirts provide a younger look to the wearer.grosir kaos distro murah berkualitas The sleeves of some kinds of T-shirts have a three-quarter length. These T-shirts appear stylish in certain occasions and for skinny men.

All About Collars

If one notices carefully, one can find several kinds of collar styles in men's shirts. The differences in collar style are not as apparent as that in sleeve styles. One has to be able to notice the subtle differences in tailoring style. The most obvious variety is the colorless shirts, for example, T-shirts. Colorless T-shirts are still popular. However, the collarless variety of normal shirts seems to have gone out of fashion.

There are many kinds of collars such as spread collar, straight collar, button down collar, tab collar, wing collar, band collar, eyelet collar, club collar, and turtle neck collar. Each of these collar styles has its own advantages and features. Spread collar types are the most widely used shirts in formal occasions and business meetings.

Collar style in formal wear is largely determined by the type of the tie. For example, if you want to wear a bow tie, it is ideal to get men's shirts with wing collar. Also, if you want to wear a Windsor knot tie, you have to opt for spread collar shirts. Some designers use a different color for collars to provide a stark contrast with the body of the shirt. There are a number of fans for this innovation. However, not all people like this kind of design.

Cuffs And Pockets

Various styles of cuffs can be used to add elegance to a full sleeve shirt. The most commonly used type is called barrel cuff, in which one or two buttons are used to fasten the sleeve. A more elegant and formal type of cuffs is French cuffs. In this, cuff links are used to fasten the sleeve.
